Rev. Daniel Ulrich
Vacancy Pastor
Pastor Ulrich graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN in 2015. He served as the Associate Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville, TN for 7 years, before becoming the pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dorans/Mattoon two years ago. He also serves as our Circuit Visitor.
Pastor Ulrich grew up in Lafayette, IN, where he attended St. James Lutheran Church and School. He went to Indiana University and studied Psychology and Religious Studies. After college he moved back to Lafayette, where he was the general manager for two Dairy Queens, one of which was on Purdue University's campus. That's when he met his wife, Katie. They were married in 2010, and have two daughters.

Faith
Faith is a gift of God which He places in our hearts through His Spirit. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and our actions are a reflection of His grace, mercy and love at work among us.
Scripture
The Bible is the Word of God, the only source of knowledge about God and His forgiving love. The Bible is the way God speaks to us still today with His truth. These sacred Scriptures were written by men but as they were inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit. Therefore what the Bible says is true and without error.
Community
Immanuel as a Church is a fellowship of all who have come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. God has given His Church two great gifts to continue its growth and life; Baptism, to create faith, and the Lord’s Supper to nurture that faith. As that church we gather in community, we grow in His Word, and we serve with His love.

Preschool Ministry
Immanuel Lutheran Preschool is a ministry wholly owned and operated by Immanuel Lutheran Church. It is a faith-based school that seeks to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ as it provides care, learning and development for children from 2 to 4 years of age. Immanuel Lutheran Preschool has long been considered the leader in Charleston for kindergarten preparation.
